Are the games free?
Yes. All ten games are free to play, with no download and no sign-up form — confirm you're 18 or older and you get a free account automatically.
How do I play with a friend?
Open Games in the chat, pick a game and choose a friend to invite, or tap the controller button in any DM. If they're not on TextStrangers yet, create a challenge link and send it to them — whoever opens it plays against you.
How does the leaderboard work?
Every finished game counts. A win adds to your wins, and whoever has the most wins takes first place. There's a board for all games together and one for each game.
How do 2048, Snake and Minesweeper work with two players?
They're races. You both get exactly the same starting board or field and play at the same time. In 2048 the higher score after 3 minutes wins, in Snake whoever eats the most in their 2-minute run wins, and in Minesweeper the first to clear the board wins.
Can people cheat?
Every move is checked by our server, which keeps the real game. Your browser never sees your opponent's ships, the hangman word or anything else it shouldn't, and Snake runs are replayed on the server to confirm the score.
What if my opponent stops playing?
In turn-based games, if they don't move for 3 minutes you can claim the win.
